Porto Heli (also Porto Cheli) is a summer resort town of 2,133 residents that is located in the municipality

 

of Ermionida in the south-eastern part of Argolis, Greece. It is situated on a bay of the Argolic Gulf, 6 km

​

south of Kranidi and 173.6 km from Athens.

HOW TO GET HERE​

FERRY

There are ferries to Porto Heli from Piraeus, the main port of Athens. These ferries depart three times per day, and they also connect Porto Heli with other destinations in the Saronic Gulf, such as Poros, Spetses, Hydra and Ermioni. The ferry trip from Porto Heli to Piraeus lasts 2 hours. The ferries are hydrofoils, which only accommodate passengers not vehicles. If you choose to travel with the ferry you need to make sure you rent a car in advance in Porto Heli. A car is necessary to go around the area.

CAR

To go from Athens to Porto Heli by car, you follow the National Highway Athens-Corinth. After the Corinth Canal, you follow the signs to Epidaurus-Kranidi-Porto Heli. Although the road from Athens to Corinth is very good, the road from Corinth to Porto Heli is a rural road and narrow and has only one line per direction, which is why extra attention is required by drivers. The entire road trip takes about 2,5 - 3 hours.

BUS

There are frequent daily buses from Athens to Porto Heli via the towns of Nafplion or Kranidi. There is no direct bus from Athens to Porto Heli. Buses to Porto Heli depart from Kifissos KTEL Bus Station in Athens. It takes about 3 hours to reach Kranidi and then you need 30 min from Kranidi to Porto Heli.

TAXI

There are two different taxi drivers that drive every day from Athens to Porto Heli and vice versa.

They can pick you from the Airport drive you at Pentathlon Villas and vice versa.
